About Us
For over twenty years we’ve discovered and experienced the joy of God’s blessings as we obey and follow His plan for our church family. In a “new age” when church growth experts are calling for the “new and improved” and “microwave worship,” the Living Lord of Heaven desires a meaningful relationship with His people who genuinely want to know Him. Church experts come and go, new fads attracting people for worship rise and fall, but the New Testament plan of worshiping God is a tried and proven one that is based in God’s truth (Acts 2:41-42): Dynamic Preaching, Sweet Fellowship, Meaningful Ordinances (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) and Fervent Prayer.
It’s a simple, yet sublime plan! If you’re looking to live a satisfying life in a complex world, look no further than the Word of God. In this age, God’s plan is for the people of God to serve Him in and through the church of God. We have programs in place to help you learn how to share your faith effectively and become a discipler of others. Regular training times called “Equipping the Saints” are designed to help train our members to be more effective in their service to Christ.
There is a place for everyone to serve the Lord at Valley Forge Baptist Temple. Let us help you grow and be a mature disciple of the Lord Jesus and find a place where God can use you to build up the kingdom of God.
Our Purpose
We have two main goals here at Valley Forge Baptist Temple:
To glorify God
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Our Doctrine
The Scriptures:
We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of both the Old and New Testament. The Bible, the Word of God, is the full and complete revelation of God’s will for man. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Our Pastors
Our church began in the heart of Pastor Wendal soon after he was called into the ministry.
Our History
Valley Forge Baptist Temple began in the heart of Pastor Scott Wendal, soon after he was called into the ministry. After completing his education at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, Pastor Wendal completed a three-year internship at his home church, Fairfax Baptist Temple in Virginia. He then came to the Valley Forge area in July of 1984 to begin Valley Forge Baptist Temple.
